Latest I-69 Construction News from INDOT
The following is a news release issued by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) regarding progress on I-69 construction:
INDOT Begins Survey Work along I-69 Section 6 Corridor
Survey crews will be out throughout spring, summer
INDIANAPOLIS (May 15, 2017) – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is surveying State Road 37 between State Road 39 to I-465 in preparation of establishing the footprint of I-69 Section 6.
INDOT will be conducting survey work near or on properties along the preferred alternative, and property owners will be notified by letter this month. The letters will be marked Notice of Survey. Surveyors are using advance signage in work areas, wearing reflective vests, and using vehicles with safety lights.
This is the normal process to help INDOT further refine and analyze SR 37 as the preferred alternative for I-69 Section 6. INDOT anticipates a Record of Decision and the Final Environmental Impact Statement from Federal Highway Administration in the first quarter of 2018.
