Indiana’s Traffic Amnesty Program
Do you have unpaid traffic fines, reinstatement fees, or other costs incurred due to operation of a motor vehicle? If so, let us help you cut those costs in half.
Indiana’s Traffic Amnesty Program
The Indiana General Assembly has created the Traffic Amnesty Program effective July 1, 2019 with the passage of House Enrolled Act 1141. This program is designed for those owing unpaid traffic fines, those who face reinstatement fees for driving privileges, and those who have incurred court costs, administrative fees, late fees, or other fees associated with an unpaid judgment for an infraction that relates to the operation of a motor vehicle. If you have incurred any of the aforementioned fees prior to January 1, 2019, you may be eligible for a reduction in the amount owed. In order to qualify, you must NOT;
1) have a child support arrearage and have failed to make the required payments for the last six (6) months;
2) have an outstanding arrest warrant; or
3) have been sentenced to pay restitution to a victim of a crime and are not current with those payments.
All petitions for reductions must be filed before January 1, 2021. If you believe you are eligible for a reduction, call our office at (765)342-8474. We would be glad to help you through this process and keep money in your pocket!
